Whats new in EPIRBs

Safety Marine has just announced the new ACR iPro GlobalFix 406MHz GPS EPIRB. This is the latest generation in marine safety electronics and is the FIRST to offer a Digital Display and 'Dual GPS technology'.

The digital display allows users to see all the beacon's operational activities, including the GPS Position read-out, operating instructions, transmission bursts and battery power. It also makes self-testing simple and easy to understand.

The 'Dual GPS technology' allows you to interface your ACR iPro Globalfix with your onboard GPS which ensures that your up-to-date position is stored inside the EPIRB at all times Therefore should you need to activate the beacon, your co-ordinates will be transmitted in the first databurst.

The ACR iPRO's internal GPS is also optimised for 'cold-starts' and will pin-point your exact location much faster than standard GPS EPIRBs.
