The new IC-M505 DSC VHF radio offers a host of unrivalled features and performance benefits to mariners. The optional Commandmic HM-162 second station handset gives you the benefit of full remote control of all VHF functions, including DSC, as well as useful intercom, foghorn and loud hailer capabilities.

Both the IC-M505 and HM-162 have an improved waterproof construction to IPX8: (1.5 meter/30 min). This gives them a waterproofing level greater than anything else currently in the market.

The IC-M505 retains 110 x 165mm dimensions of te IC-M503 whilst reducing the case depth by 15mm. The IC-M505 features large buttons and knobs, which are ergonomically laid out for easy, user-friendly operation and are also backlit for night time use.

When connected to an optional two-way hailer horn, communication with other boats and deck or dock hands is easy. The built-in amplifier increases talk power to 25W making your message loud and clear. Four fog horn patterns are available for the automatic fog horn, adding further to the safety of the vessel.
