Para Anchor Retrieval Line with Floats

Retrieval is achieved by the use of a simple trip line. The Para-Anchor retrieval line consists of a polyester floating line about 15m in length, shackled to the stainless steel chain at the apex of the Para-Anchor. The other end of this line then leads up to a small primary float (fender). From this primary float, a second 25m buoyant line is attached with a small pick-up buoy on the bitter end.
This second pick-up buoy will naturally be carried down wind from the primary float. To retrieve the Para-Anchor the boat motors up to and retrieves the small pick-up buoy. With load applied to the line the parachute sea anchor will collapse and it can then be pulled in.
Two sizes of Para-Anchor Retrieval Line are available.
- 10mm x 40m (suitable for Coastal 9, Global 12 & Tasman 15 models)
- 12mm x 40m (suitable for Bass Straight 18, Pacific 20 & Southern Ocean 24 models)
The primary (15m) retrieval line comes supplied complete with a stainless steel thimble spliced into the end ready for shackling to the chain on the apex of the Para-Anchor. The other end of this primary (15m) retrieval line comes ready spliced onto the primary float. The 25m secondary line also comes ready spliced onto the other end of the primary float with the small pick up buoy ready spliced onto the bitter end.
Note: a shackle for attaching the retrieval line to the Para-Anchor apex chain is NOT included.
