A new generation of passive radar reflectors based on the patented symmetrical array by John Firth.

The EM230 Midi Radar Reflector is especially suited to RIBs, Sportsfishers and motor cruisers and gives an astonishing Radar Cross Section (RCS) of 20m2, independently tested by DERA.

This exceeds the RORC / ORC requirements by nearly three times.

These Basemount models are designed to be mounted to the A-frame or radar arches on RIBs and motor cruisers. They are attached by four bolts that pass downwards from the radar reflector and through the mounting surface.

It is available in two different models.

A) The standard EM230 Midi Basemount Model
B) The standard EM230 Midi Basemount Model with top mounted all-round white navigation light

(This second model allows RIB's, and other small craft to mount the radar reflector in the most central position without having to relocate the normal all-round white navigation light.)

The EM230 Midi Radar Reflector is now fitted as standard to most RNLI Atlantic 75 and 85 RIBs.
