Life Jackets & Accessories

  • Leisure Lifejackets

A lifejacket is the single most important piece of safety equipment every sailor should own. Always make sure that you buy a good quality lifejacket from a reputable brand name and a reputable dealer who can explain the differences between the models. You dont want to be having to replace your lifejackets two years down the line because they are falling apart or because you can't get the right spares.

  • Commercial Lifejackets

After the 1st of July 2010, all lifejackets being replaced on board an existing vessel, or any vessel buying new lifejackets, must buy lifejackets that comply with the new Solas EC 2010 MSC.200(80) Regulations

  • Lifejacket Accessories

Securing ones self to the vessel with a life line gives a crewman that extra reassurance and confidence whilst moving around the boat, especially at night or when conditions deteriorate. We can also improve a man overboards chances of being recovered safely by fitting a lifejacket light and when bad weather and rough seas are expected a spray hood that will protect the face and airway from waves and driving spray. A careful skipper will also ensure that there are several lifejacket re-arm kits on board. More people slip and fall off pontoons in the middle of summer than ever get lost overboard, so having the right type of lifejacket re-arm kit ready at hand will invariably come in useful at some point!

  • Buoyancy Aids and Ski Vests

Whether its racing around in a sailing dinghy, paddling a kayak, or hopping the wake on a waterski or an inflatable, a good quality 50N Buoyancy Aid is a must! Getting the correct chest size is the rule, so make sure you pick a size that gives a snug fit.
