The SeaSpark is a bright wide angle universal automatic life jacket light. Designed to fit existing gas inflation as well as foam model life jackets.
Using the latest in LED technology the SeaSpark will operate for over 100hrs, a great advantage over all other models of life jacket light which are typically designed to meet the SOLAS 8-hour specification.
Automatically activated when the sensor is exposed to water the SeaSpark will strobe approximately 55 flashes a minute visible in all directions. SeaSpark uses a non hazardous lithium battery with a 10 year life span allowing it to be date stamped for leisure use with an expiry of 5-years. The water contact sensor is manufactured from turned brass, gold plated and is mounted on a 50cm cable. The light can be stopped by drying the sensor which has special holes to allow water to easily enter and escape the sensor contacts
The SeaSpark is NOT SOLAS approved, but has been specifically designed to meet the SOLAS 74, Regulation III and IMO Resolution MSC 48(66). We hope to be able to offer a slightly different SOLAS compliant model in the near future.
