The NEW MT403 406MHz EPIRB is the culmination of 3-years of extensive development by GME Australia.

The end result is a radical new ultra compact design that slashes the cost of 406Mhz EPIRB ownership.

Advantages of a 406Mhz EPIRB over the older 121.5Mhz Locator Beacons include world wide coverage, an initial position location accuracy to within 5km, a stable signal resulting in faster response time and most importantly, the addition of a unique digital message providing Search and Rescue authorities with vital information including identification of the vessel.

Unrivalled in technology, performance and price the MT403 features a ground breaking Patent Pending microprocessor design.

Rugged, compact and easy-to-mount, the MT403 features a solid state strobe, SOLAS reflective tapes and a 5m lanyard spool.

The S/S whip antenna deploys automatically when the unit is removed from the quick-release bracket supplied and the in-built self-test facility with audible alert confirms correct operation.

The battery has a five year storage life from new and operates for a minimum of 48 hours once activated.

The MT403 can be activated manually using the top mounted switch or automatically simply by immersing in water.

The MT403 comes as standard with a UK registered Serial Number but can be pre-programmed with a VHF Radio Call Sign or an MMSI number for units despatched to Republic of Ireland or other European Countries. Programming costs £25.00 inc VAT

(Please telephone Safety Marine Sales on Tel: 00 44 (0)2380 263300, to arrange programming)
