The ACR Satellite2 (CAT 11) is a manually activated 406MHz and 121.5MHz distress alerting EPIRB.

Neat and compact this unit is currently the smallest full specification 406MHz EPIRB on the market with a minimum 48hr duration once activated.

Constructed with a tough high impact case the unit has a built in test facility, a high intensity strobe and is supplied complete with a bulkhead mounting bracket and a tangle free recessed lanyard spool.

The unit is manually operated by lifting the Flip-Over switch, sliding it left, pushing it backwards and down fully breaking the safety tab. Alternatively if the EPIRB is removed from its bulkhead bracket and thrown straight in the water the water sensing contacts on the back of the EPIRB will automatically activate the unit.

The battery has a five year storage life and each unit is supplied as standard with a pre-programmed UK Serial Number.

Features:

  • Built in strobe for enhanced location in poor visibility conditions
  • Single, three position switch for easy test and operation. Steady green LED indicates unit has passed full function test, flashing red LED indicates unit is ON and transmitting
  • Transmits on 406 MHz (COSPAS-SARSAT) with your registered, digitally-coded distress signal, and also on 121.5 MHz (for SAR homing)
  • Lanyard coiled on recessed spool for non-tangling deployment
  • Exclusive, polycarbonate case designed for maximum resistance to UV, oil, fuel, chemicals, sea water and maximum durability when exposed to extreme temperatures and shock
  • 5 year warranty (excluding battery life)
  • 5 year battery replacement life
  • Operating life: 48 hours @ -40°C (-40°F)
  • Complies with GMDSS, approved by COSPAS-SARSAT, FCC, USCG, UK MCA, European CE & European MED Ships Wheel Mark
